crystal bay, a koh samui favourite

Crystal Bay is not my favourite beach on the island – but it is one of the more beautiful ones. It is surrounded by giant rocks and hidden away by trees, which makes it private, quiet and serene.

It is comparable to other beaches I have blogged about before: Drobni Pjesak in Montenegro & the secret beach in Arraial Do Cabo, Brazil.

On this particular day, the water was crystal clear (touché!), the sand was fine, and we swam like it was the last day of summer.

This post is for everyone who has asked me: What is it like over there (in Thailand)? I have fallen in love with this country, the beautiful nature & its smiling people. I can honestly say that Thailand is one of my favourite places in the world. Life is simple when every day is sunny and 25+.

I love getting out away from big city culture for a while. The same thing happened when we went to Costa Rica & Brazil – I realize how little I need, and draw satisfaction from nature, physical activity, and colourful street markets. This type of a retreat should be a mandatory thing – it is good for the soul.

Check out some everyday scenes from our happy little island life – a life I am slightly sad to leave behind.
