My visits to Bosnia are full of me trying to (politely) say NO to food. It seems that everywhere I go, people are trying to feed me. Everything revolves around making food, eating, and again – making food for the next meal. Overload!
I think the motto here is: “EAT OR GET FED”.
But the food here is quite interesting. It’s full of flavour and quite heavy for those not used to it (read: me). I’m shocked that not everyone isn’t over 100 kilos. But every once in a while, I give into the rich tastes and have a few “cheat days” here and there.
Here are some treats I’ve had while in Sarajevo. Check out what’s considered “everyday food” here.. a little different, no?
There’s more where these came from but I’ll leave it for my next visit – I’m still walking these off!
