Time flies when you’re having fun. I’ve now been in Belgrade the longest out of any previous visit – so, I’ve kind of gotten to know it and have some favourite “spots”. If you are ever in Belgrade, I recommend you visit:
KALEMEGDAN – The Belgrade Fortress that is also a park & hang-out spot offers a variety: go from dungeons, tennis courts & ice-cream stands to posh clubs. It’s “afternoon to night” on this baby – just make sure you’re dressed for it.
KOSANCICEV VENAC – My favourite neighbourhood. Cobblestone streets, oldest houses in Belgrade, amazing graffiti, nice view at sunset and The Black Turtle (a great place to grab a beer).
SKADARLIJA – A few streets of Old Serbia – traditional food, drinks & music – a bit of make-up for the tourists, but definitely cute.
Finally, I recommend the Nikola Tesla Museum & checking out the shops in Dorcol – and finishing this perfect day with a Mojito at SquareNine.
Ciao, Belgrade – til next time!
