As nice as it is to get all dolled up and go to a fancy lounge or club, nothing compares to the charm of a house party. We drink out of jars, eat with our hands & laugh til we can’t sit straight.

I’ve made some great friends in Vancouver – it feels good to know that I can always return to this city and feel like I’m “at home”. A lot of these friends are quite unconventional & lead extraordinary lives, and they brought me to one of my biggest realizations this year – it is important to make friends with people who are different from you, because they will introduce you to  new things and ultimately make you a better (read: less judgmental/more open-minded) person. Anna & Lauren, thank you for an awesome time and for letting me keep my Miu Mius on (I have a thing about keeping my shoes on at house parties – I spend a lot of time coordinating my shoes with my outfit, it would be such a waste to take them off! Hehe..).

Mirsada, thank you for the priceless (& some captured) moments of joy – beauty and brains, how was I so lucky to find you?!
