The Getty has to be one of the coolest museums I’ve been to – in fact, I spent more time admiring the architecture of the museum than the art itself.
The Getty Center, in Los Angeles, California, is a campus for the J. Paul Getty Trust founded by oilman J. Paul Getty. The $1.3 billion center is also well known for its architecture, gardens, and views overlooking Los Angeles. It houses European paintings, drawings, sculpture, illuminated manuscripts, decorative arts, and European and American photographs.
If you are in Los Angeles and have some time to kill, I most definitely recommend you pay a visit!
